New recip saw question

Ok so I had my Dewalt set of tools stolen out of the back of my wife's SUV. Decided I was gonna try Makita out and see how they were and started with with drill. About a week later after getting the drill I was able to recover everything but my recip saw. So now I'm looking to replace it but not sure if I want to get another dewalt or try makita's.
