Why does this game punish the players in the worst way possible?

I'm seriously really getting fed up with this game. The core of it is pretty good and fairly unique, both in gameplay and visual style but I'm getting really tired of the way it punishes players when trying to reward them. Two great examples, boss drops and loot bags. Boss drops:I'm not sure about the exact drop rates from mid bosses but I am pretty certain that getting the metal is the most likely outcome, probably around 70%. Coins and equipment are uncommon but not rare.First of all, no one farms bosses for coins or equipment. Why is the more uncommon drops also the undesirable ones? Getting around 1.5-2k coins from a boss itself is just laughable compared to the metal you have to pay 20-50k for from the store. Why punish the players for "winning the lottery"? The rare dropshould be something that is better than the common drop, this is literally 101 gaming and it's embarassing to see that these devs got it so wrong. Loot bags:The loot bags come in 5 different qualities but I'm gonna focus on the 3 qualities that can drop from regular TDM.The loot bags should be something nice to open up, a random bag with a goody in it, some more useful than others of course but still something. The problem is it doesn't take long for the bags to be dilluted with crafting recipes for items you already have, these are more or less useless fetching a 100 RE points or 600 coins. Why do we still pull recipes we already have? To open 3 gold bags in a row and end up with 300 RE points is just insulting. It doesn't take a 30 year old industry vet to understand that you should either up the RE/KC value of loot bag recipes or just remove them from the loot table if you already have the recipe. Issues like this is why I'm really getting tired of the game, the grinding is one thing but when they keep punishing you instead of rewarding you it's just getting too much. At this point I can see why the PC version is really doing poorly, marketing or not. Most people would quickly get fed up when treated like this. via /r/LetItDie https://ift.tt/2PEP2Sp
