26 y.o. married Brit, friendless in NY while I wait for my spousal visa to process (hopefully)

So I had a respectable pool of friends back home, most of whom I met in university. We’d occasionally meet up, and it was always me who visited them, because I worked fewer hours and didn’t mind the travel.Then I came to the US to get married to the love of my life (we met on YouTube). My paperwork for a temporary green card has been sent off, and I can’t work yet. So I haven’t made any IRL friends. My mates back in Britain wouldn’t even visit me when I was there; much less now. So I’m a bit lonely and would like to make friends.I’m interested in horror films, trying out recipes I find online, and working out now and then (although my gym just closed without notice!
