Cooking for a German in the USA

Hi, r/Cooking!My brother-in-law will be staying with us for a couple of weeks soon, and I was looking for some recipes for family dinners. He and my husband were born and bred in Berlin, and though my husband has loosened up a bit as far as adventurous eating, his brother still prefers mostly traditional German food (read: meat, bread, potatoes). I found a crock-pot Indian butter chicken recipe that seems to be less "extreme", but would really like to show him a bit of American culture through cooking while here. Any ideas? He has no allergies or aversions that I'm aware of. via /r/Cooking https://ift.tt/2LBqpDc
