Went down the Youtube rabbit hole and now really want to get into homebrewing. Ordered all the brewing equipment, just waiting for it to all turn up.I have put together a few recipes I think will work well, but would like people that know about brewing to look over them as I haven't done this before but understand sugar + yeast will ferment. I was more worried about off tastes I may come across if I use these recipes.Copied from my notes:Vodkat 23 Litre 20.5% (can be freeze/fractional distilled to 40%, use half of what has been frozen)1 x Turbo Clear £2.751 x Turbo Carbon £2.991 x Alcotec Pure 48 £3.182 x Pure Dextrose Powder 4kg £22.66 (will take up 8 Litres of space)1 x 12 X 1.5 Litre Bottles Harrogate Still Mineral £10.48 (10 x 1.5 Litre of water needed)I got the bottled water because, well I don't have any empty bottles and this is going to be my first brew as very little can go wrong. Its just a water wash that I can use to create cocktails etc. Might even play around with spirit essences.£42.06Apple Cider 20lt 7%2 x Sainsbury's Double Strength Apple Squash 1.5L £2.00 150g of sugar (boil to get rid of the preservatives)3 x Sainsbury's Bramley Apple Sauce 420ml £3.60 400.68g of sugar (boil to get rid of the preservatives)3 x Sainsbury's Honey, Basics 340g £3.00 824.16g of sugar1 x Sainsbury's White Granulated Sugar 1kg £0.701 x Champagne - Sparkling Wine Yeast £1.2910 x Earl Grey Tea Bags1 x Teaspoons VinClasse Yeast Vit4 x Teaspoons VinClasse Pectolase4 x Campden Tablets for the tap water@ the end add 50ml Ritchies Beer And Wine Finings wait 24/48hr.Filling 2lt bottles add 6 Coopers Carbonation Drops£10.59Sugar Content = 4.215KGBlackcurrant Wine 20lt 12.4%3 x Sainsbury's Blackcurrant Jam 454g £2.25 663g of sugar (boil to get rid of the preservatives)2 x Ribena Squash Blackcurrant 1.5L £5.00 552g of sugar (boil to get rid of the preservatives)3 x Sainsbury's White Granulated Sugar 1kg £2.101 x VinClasse Champagne £2.5510 x Earl Grey Tea Bags1 x VinClasse Yeast Vit4 x Teaspoons VinClasse Pectolase4 x Campden Tablets for the tap water@ the end add 50ml Ritchies Beer And Wine Finings wait 24/48hr.£11.90Sugar Content = 4.215KGTurbo Cider 21.36lt 8.1%5 x Sainsbury's Pure Apple Juice 4x1L £14.00 1840g of sugar4 x Sainsbury's Honey, Basics 340g £4.00 1098.88g of sugar1 x VinClasse Champagne £2.5510 x Earl Grey Tea Bags@ the end add 50ml Ritchies Beer And Wine Finings wait 24/48hr.Filling 2lt bottles add 6 Coopers Carbonation Drops£20.55Sugar Content = 2.930KGChrysanthemum Wine 22.1lt 10.7% (a place that sells food close to the best before date has Chrysanthemum Tea for cheap ie why I am also using Tate and Lyle Golden Granulated Cane Sugar instead of cheap standard sugar as they are also selling that and curious how it will turn out using that sugar, also I wanted free delivery)80 x Vita Honey Chrysanthemum Tea 250 ml £23.20 1920g of sugar6 x Tate and Lyle Golden Granulated Cane Sugar 350g £3.60 2100g of sugar1 x Elderflower Wine Yeast £1.29£28.09Sugar Content = 4.020KG via /r/Homebrewing https://ift.tt/31ahq1n
