I've been playing Witcher 3 as a Gwent Card Collecting adventure to get into it. Now I need to get into the combat side of it.

I've collected nearly all the cards, and have gotten invested in the game finally, but need some tips on how to move forward. I am into the story now and see how excellent and well written it is, but I want to give the combat a real go since I've been getting by on the easiest difficulty.I have picked up some good steel weapons from drops and chests, but I haven't gotten any good silver weapons, I was using my level 1 silver word up until I did a quest where I kill a Vampire and he dropped a level 12 one. I'm still not quite sure how to get better silver weapons, do I need to go to hidden treasure markers, just do random quests that finally give me one, can I find plans that I can give to blacksmiths? Just playing through the game I haven gotten tons of steel weapons but silver ones are rare. If it wasn't for me playing on the easiest setting I would have hit a wall using the starting silver sword.Same with oils, I know I can find plans to make oils/tonics, and then I can easily replenish them with meditating and alcohol. But how do I find what I need? if I have a contract to kill a Vampire, and I don't have a oil that's good against it, where do I go to find/get one? Is it just blind luck. Is there a type of shop that sells recipes? I just don't know where to go to get prepped for a monster fight.EDIT: Another thing, I couldn't get that into Skyrim when I first played it, but when I accidentally discovered the Daedric artifacts, I thought it was so cool and got stuck on collecting these unique and rare items. Does Witcher 3 have anything like that? Like there might be a lot of "rare/strong weapons", but I'm talking unique/epic/legendary" weapons, is there anything like that in Witcher 3 and how do I work towards it? via /r/witcher https://ift.tt/2Omc0vY
