My twins were born at 33 weeks with very healthy lungs and only spent 20 days in the NICU. They have been on Enfacare 22 since they got home which is a powder I prepare by boiling water and waiting 30 minutes then mixing it. The doctor said 70 degrees celsius which would sterilize the powder. My boys have developed silent reflux which we have been put onto prevacid for, which helps, but not everyday. The boys have been so collicy and I am at my wits end today. I literally begged my babies today to stop crying.I want to try switching them to a hypoallergenic formula (alimentum) but the pediatrician said she liked the boys weight gain and wants to stay on the enfacare 22. She said that if we were going to switch it would be to Nutrimagen.Like I said I am at my wits end today and went and bought 2 cans of the nutrimagen. All I want to do is help my babies and the pediatrician kinda dismissed me and doesnt even want to see me for 3 months.I have found the recipes to make 22 cal and 24 ca for my babies but the instuctions on the nutrigen can specifically state it is not meant for premature babies. My questions are; can I make the formula at 70 degrees celsuis or will that kill the nutritional value: will using formula made with room temperature water (after being boiled) hurt my babies?Thank you to everyone in this subreddit by the way. I cant wait to post my 6 month survival pics!P.s. my twins due date was jan 18 and I had them December 3rd. via /r/parentsofmultiples https://ift.tt/2UFs2EV
