Got a 4 lb. Chuck Roast from Costco for my Kamado Joe. Rubbed with equal parts kosher salt, coarse ground pepper and garlic powder. Cooked at 250-280 for 3.5 hours to 180 internal. The roast was in two pieces, so after an hour rest, I decided to slice one and use the other for poor mans burnt ends. I found a sauce recipe on the Kamado Joe website that had OJ in it that sounded good, so I used that for the burnt ends. Cubed the meat and put in a 300 degree oven for 45 minutes with lots of sauce. My wife has until now been amused with my new smoking hobby, but after a few burnt ends she is very enthusiastic! via /r/smoking https://ift.tt/307xsYh
