Anyone notice uK food is really bland?

IIRC Sometimes wonder if my tastebuds are working, but seriously, even the fruit tastes of blandness. The bread is meh and has weird texture to it, some of it makes me ill. The meat and starch are meh so you bury it in your cooking ingredients to fix that etc.Contrast with the food I ate in the US, Australia, Italy, my country of birth etc. and that food was delicious and tasty. So what's going on here? Why does it appear that the food here is so bad compared to food elsewhere? Even takeaways don't match what I've eaten abroad via /r/food http://ift.tt/2rKFKVa
