taste (very hard) challenge: you know much about taste & flavour, would you please recommend the easiest & simplest ways to add taste specifically to

1) oats, 2) pasta, or 3) rice (grain groups so assuming it'll be pretty similar)please keep in mind i don't have spectacular taste bubs, and would not notice anything unless it's like the #1 strongest flavour/tastethings i've tried in the past:tried half a stick of real butter, did not really notice anything extremely pronounced, still tasted like grain -- why does butter + salt have almost no pronounced effect on the taste?pasta sauce seems to work, i dunno why, something about tomato, it's a real strong taste, need to add like half of a 24oz jar tho -- why does pasta sauce taste good?salt doesn't seem to make it tastier, it just becomes way too salty if i add too much (same with garlic powder in those jar thingy, just taste weird if too much)soy sauce works for some, i dunno what taste this is (been trying to find out, i think it has what ramen noddles has, need to find that food science article) -- but it just works -- what is the key thing in soy sauce that makes it taste good? (if you put tons of it) via /r/food http://ift.tt/2uwmReb
