Do the discovery 3* recipes, prevent a new alchemist making any profit?

I'm currently in the process of leveling professions on alts and have begun with alchemy.I'm mainly doing this for the future, but obviously I'd love to turn a profit using daily/weekly CDs, or specific recipes.My concern is that since the best I can get is 2* recipes, it seems that every single one will give me an overall loss.I think there may be a small profit in making healing pots and obliterating them, since I have 3* rank, but I wondered if experienced alchemists knew something I didn't about potentially older recipes that I should be looking at? via /r/woweconomy http://ift.tt/2mOpxO2
