Here's what my six and eight year old can do in the kitchen. Looking forward to learning more ways to include them!

6 year old:Helps load and unload dishwasher, dries dishes, puts away silverwareGet bowls, pots, and pans out of low cabinetsCracks eggsPours ingredients, stirsHolds the dustpan while someone sweepsCan clean up messes with a dishragCan use a butter knifeShucks corn8 year old:Everything the 6 year old does, plusCan microwave popcorn, microwave baked potato, reheat food, read directions on steam-in-bag veggies and microwave for the appropriate time (an adult gets them out though)Stirs scrambled eggs on stove (with close supervision)Can put cups away in upper cupboardUses toasterReads next step of recipes to me via /r/Kidkitchen https://ift.tt/2GVLB2l
