3 years ago I went to China and at first their breakfast was a bit intimidating but I slowly fell in love. The you tiao with soy milk, scallion pancakes, but there was one thing that I can’t find the recipe for anywhere. It’s a fennel pancake it’s kind of thick and filled with fennel and some other thinly sliced vegetable. I had it in northern China specifically the hebei province .
