[Question] Suggestions on how to prep and cook Tri Tip Steak?

I’ve had Tri Tip a couple of times before and quite enjoyed it. The only time I vividly remember it was with BBQ sauce on the side.My local grocery store had it on sale and I don’t see that particular cut there too often, so I went for it. The fatty-ness it has looks like something I’d like.My options for cooking are (1) a gas grill, (2) a traditional slow cooker, (3) stainless steel cookware, and (4) a conventional oven. Also, I purchased a bottle of Stubb’s Original BBQ sauce and Stubb’s beef marinade (Soy, Garlic, and Red Pepper). I’m not set on using these for the Tri Tip if you have a different recommendation. I also have Kosher salt, Black Pepper I can grind up, fresh garlic cloves, and various other dry jarred spices like Paprika, Cumin, Garlic Powder, Italian Seasonings, Oregano, Thyme, and a couple others.I’m currently lacking a cast iron skillet unfortunately! Also I was thinking of prepping it / making it tomorrow for the evening if that factors into any recipe you recommend. In other words, I could start marinating tonight etc. via /r/Cooking http://bit.ly/2wva0If
