I need help!!


I made a batch of salted cucumber pickes recently. I just tried them, and while the taste is good, the pickles arent crispy at all?? I poured over a hot brine, is that the issue? The brine is made out of water, salt, vinegar and a little sugar. What can cause the cucumbers to lose crispyness? I have done this another time a while ago, i dont remember if i oour it over hot or not, but i thought i was supposed to after reading multiple recipes - so please help, what could have gone wrong??
