Eating Vegan Food

Back in China in 2011, we took the high-speed railway to Shaoguan and took the city buses to get to Nanhwa Temple. Before entering the temple, we ate at the restaurant. Some of the staff were making paper offerings to the deceased to sell. The food ware all vegan that uses wheat gluten and vegetables.Vegan food uses vegetables to imitate meat. Often seitan, mushrooms and tofu is used and heavily sauced to obtain the same taste to eating meat. This type of imitation meat is more expensive than plain meat.Near my college there are two restaurant that serves Indian vegan cuisine. The basmati rice includes nuts and have several dishes that uses root vegetables. Sometimes food has to be heavily sauced for flavor. via /r/food http://ift.tt/2sostTa
