Recently hired as bar manager to brew pub

So I have spent the last 6-7 years bartending at a turn and burn whiskey beer joint on weekend nights. Just recently was pushed out and fired by a rabid little 3 foot liar of a manager, another story for another day. 2 days after I get a call to come in and basically accept a job to a be their bar manager. They want me to put together a good solid drink menu, as their spirits aren't a focus at the moment, mainly they push craft beers. So they want me to learn about the breweries around us in AZ, create a good drink menu, order beer and spirits, as well as bartend on weekend nights and stuff. Needless to say I'm a bit nervous and not so sure how to proceed. My first pretty cool task will be, coming up shortly we will have az cardinals personnel and a few players in town to pick a few of their draft picks remotely from our town literally across the street from our pub. Management wants me to come up with or go with a recipe for a special drink that day, possibly others specials. My question is seriously kind of broad so I apologize, but I dont wanna do some gimmicky drink like "the bird gang drink" and just make it red. Any advice gals and guys for me for this first event as bar manager? I find myself a bit overwhelmed. Anything would be appreciated. via /r/bartenders https://ift.tt/2GTXkm2
