Have you guys ever had Pearson eat some of your perfect pelts “for crafting” and then realize there’s no upgrade that uses those pelts?

I accidentally donated 2 perfect raccoon pelts, a perfect boar pelt, and almost gave him another panther pelt and every time it said “for crafting” but I’ve done every recipe that calls for those pelts. I thought “for crafting” was a good reference and it switched to “for funds” after you’d made all the recipes with that species. Have any of you noticed this? I thought he’d eaten a deer and wolf pelt but those popped up when I unlocked the legend of the east satchel. Are there later upgrades that these are going to?
