Item Crafting with Profession (Merchant)

So there's an NPC - the merchant prince. He has Master Craftsman, which lets you qualify for item crafting feats using either craft skills or profession skills. He has no crafting skills, but he has (quel surprise I know) Profession (Merchant) out the wazoo. I'm assuming that he's then using that to qualify for Craft Wondrous Item.So I know that is rules legal ... but how does it work? I mean, not the RAW (I laid that out already), but like how does he use merchanting to make magic items? Or any other profession skill really? Is he only able to make wondrous items pertaining to merchant-ing? A sufficiently broad interpretation would then become 'anything with a price' - or perhaps more restrictively ... anything for which a market exists. But how?I mean, if it was Profession (Elven Sweatshop) I'd understand, he'd be hiring people to make stuff for him, or if it was Profession (Chef) then he'd be brewing potions ... (or perhaps 'following a recipe?').But ... merchanting? via /r/Pathfinder_RPG https://ift.tt/2qPL37t
