Not sure if healthy, but very cheap

One of my lazy go-tos is to fill a baking sheet with chopped up potatoes and veg. I sprinkle on some seasoning, then I put one of those wire cooling racks on top of the baking sheet and lay whatever marinated/seasoned meat I want on top. Cover with tin foil and bake. The fat dripping from the meat gives extra flavor to the veg. Also, how many of you guys keep a mason jar on the stove to pour bacon grease into? We use the grease to add a little flavor or to make pie crust. The crust is one egg, pinch of salt, flour, and grease until it feels like play dough consistency. And I’m sorry I don’t have measurements. The recipes I got from family have measurements, but they are more like guidelines since the recipes were passed down by family who had to help on the farm instead of learning to read and write. But yeah I’m curious about the bacon grease because some of my friends swear they’ve never seen that done. via /r/EatCheapAndHealthy https://ift.tt/323LoUy
