Warning, possible long thread. No TLDR at the end, go away now.Not POE RELATEDBe me, bored for quite some years, but definitely a hardcore grinder at heart - I did 10000 runs of a dungeon that takes about 4.5-5 minutes to complete in a MMORPG to say only one of my "achivements" (pretty sure I'm above the casual gamer at repetitive grinding stat), don't play that game anymore as those devs made game pay to win, also they are a bunch of super boo boo bananas, I'll just not name the game as I don't want to give them any sort of publicity. Nobody plays it nowadays I'm pretty sure so you're not missing anything really.POE STARTS HERESo I'm not a POE player, just made both POE and reddit accounts a few minutes ago, but I've been watching the game on Twitch/Youtube for quite some time and through the years, and can say I'm somewhat familiar with the game. I haven't played it since, think what you want, but you need to buy a few tabs to enjoy the game which turns me off on a moral level (MULING IS NOT PLAYING THE GAME, THANK YOU!). Don't get me wrong, the GGG deserves every penny they make, but I got my personal reasons on why I am reluctant to spend money on games.I've recently found ZiggyD's Gucci Hobo series and Slippery Jim's series, which I enjoyed and definitely want to attempt myself, with extra spice.Condiments to be used:I do not plan on using flasks (yes, aware of the only life flask being lv 50, and only Domination&Nemesis, I plan to combat this with hp regen or grinding carefully, like really really really carefully), or anything else that is not an unique, including jewels (can't remember if any of the above mentioned people used jewels), and quite possible maps if I do get at that point. And given this challenge is already hard even with using the flasks, this is where I kind of need some help.List of stuff:1. Is the Templar THE character for Gucci Hobos because of his apperance? You don't need to be a old hobo, you can be a fresh day 1 hobo, everybody gotta start somewhere right? Both Ziggy and Jim+3 started Templars. Can this be changed without "breaking" the challenge? If yes, best start would be Marauder going for Warrior's Blood? Or Born to Fight ASAP? Or maybe Duelist for Master of the Arena? Or just pick something that you'll know will benefit once you get an item (ie. Witch with focus on Spell Damage hoping for a Lifesprig) since the start is going to be hard either way?2. Can I make an itemfilter using FilterBlade that esentially doesn't show normal, magic, and rare items? I took a quick look just now, there is no easy "Show only uniques item" button. I guess it can be done via custom rule?3. Not sure if want to consider chancing, in my opinion that's not really Gucci Hobo, and once you get 1 item with slots, everything pretty much increases exponentially (until a certain point, but that can be solved with a lot of grinding). Yay or nay? And I'm pretty sure 6. is better roleplay anyway.4. League. SSF Softcore Standard? (come on give me a break on this one, will ya?) I mean, SSF Temporary Softcore might be a bit beneficial, giving the upcoming Tower Defense league mechanics. But that's kind of cheating, hobos don't own shiny&flashy towers.5. Hobos do sometimes live in packs, but they do mostly fly solo. You get where I'm going with this. Pretty sure there are others I can corrupt or might want to join themselves, planning might be tricky but I'm just putting this out there.6. Cards? I mean hobos do gather stuff that they take to recycling (and so should you) or sell to get other stuff? This would apply to vendor recipes as well (ie. Hyrri's Bite Sharktooth Arrow Quiver). So mostly yay than nay if you ask me.Quite sure I've forgot some things that I've though about in the last few days when the idea came to my mind. I will edit the post later.Disclaimer: I do not mean to be rude or disrespectful in any way to anyone, especially homeless people, my humor is pretty stupid, I agree, but I laugh at my jokes so I'm the winner here if you think about it, also I slept for about 4 hours in the morning, had to do some chores, then I had to drive for about 4 hours, and did some other chores, then I ate and started my actually paid to work job, and boom, it's 2AM here, just finished work for today and I got to be up in 5 hours. Insert Piety's "Kill me" voiceline from Malachai fight.Oh, and I'll definitely stream/youtube series the journey. via /r/pathofexile https://ift.tt/2PCAggi
