First Time Making Risotto – How Can I Improve? [Video/Photos]


Hi friends. I tried making risotto for the first time tonight. It was also my first time using a dutch oven. It came out pretty decent, but I'm curious to learn how I can make it better next time. It was thick, but it looks a bit less creamy than other risottos in photos.Here are photos and videos of my process: https://ift.tt/2XTMIuu recipe I followed was:Heat 4 cups chicken stock in a saucepan.Melt 1 tbsp butter in a dutch oven. Sweat diced shallots (1 small) and chopped garlic (2 cloves) with some salt.Deglaze with white wine.Toast rice until translucentAdd chicken stock ~1/2 cup at a time and stir until mostly absorbed.Once finished, mix in ~1 cup of shredded parmesan cheese and 1 tbsp of butter. via /r/Cooking https://ift.tt/2RUIlM2
