First attempt at fried chicken gone wrong


Ok, my girlfriend and I attempted home made fried chicken and it is failing. What I would appreciate is some guidance for next time please.Here is the recipe - https://ift.tt/2QNIApB, oil on the stove. We added further spices (black pepper, more cayenne and also added Cajun spices). We tested a chicken wing - worked well but the coating was over cooked, the chicken undercooked. Made the decision to turn down the pot with oil in it to slow fry and hopefully for the process to work.Result was the ‘skin’ (flour mix) fell off, the chicken was cooked ok but the flour mix was soggy (still tasted good with the spices) and then we gave up.My question is - does anyone have a proven clear process for fried chicken on the stove (I.e using a pot/saucepan) that will work? via /r/AskAmericans https://ift.tt/2PwXAvn
