Early Alchemy Recipes

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how I'm supposed to learn to make Lesser Mana Potions and Elixir of Wisdom Potions. The guide I'm following is telling me to make them to level my alchemy faster, but I don't have the ability to make them and the trainer doesn't seem to offer me those recipes- or any other recipes for that matter.
