Hey everyone! I finally decided to go vegan! I’m really excited about it but to be honest I’m also very lost.I enjoy eating vegan food with a few of my vegan friends, and I can make a few basic vegan meals, but I don’t know how to make meals that are nutritious and will keep me full.I should mention that I am currently in the process of losing weight. I find that eating 1200 calories helps me lose weight without being unhealthy. I lose and gain weight VERY easily so I have to be very careful with what I eat. I am still losing weight a little faster than normal, but I only want to add calories when I am a bit closer to my goal.I also like going to the gym and I am worried about not eating enough to be able to build muscle and improve my overall fitness. I know it’s possible, but whenever I look online I have so much information thrown at me and I can’t even begin to see what is fake and real information.Lastly, I would like to know about any essentials. I have noticed a lot of things like tofu and different types of powders are used in vegan recipes but they are hard to find (and wildly overpriced) where I live (In a Gulf country). Are there any foods that are frequently used in vegan recipes that are reasonably priced?I’d really appreciate any advice you guys can give me ❤️Also just out of curiosity, what do vegans in really cold countries eat? I know a lot of foods like avocados can be quite expensive, and it is hard to buy food that is in season when it is below freezing for 4-6 months out of the year. I always wondered how vegans can find food that isn’t super expensive and will also keep them healthy and happy 😊 via /r/vegan https://ift.tt/2JybXcF
